Privacy

The following sets out how I deal with the data of clients and potential clients.

Collection…

The data I collect includes email addresses, company names, websites, client names, job titles and phone numbers.  Other data I acquire is within the form of emails, project details, proofs and sample texts.  I use Google Analytics to see how many visitors I have to my website.

Storage…

Documents are stored locally on my private computer with protection software and password protection.  Back-ups are stored locally, locked away and password protected.  Emails are stored by my email provider and are password protected.  Any printouts of proofs are kept securely locked away.

Usage…

I use the data I collect, specifically to work on or with a view to working on indexing projects.  I will never share your personal data with a third party unless you have specifically asked me to or unless required by law.  I may share your name alongside feedback, if you consent to this.  Data within my accounting records will be kept for the time needed to comply with HMRC.

Removal…

Data which is no longer needed is deleted, for example, sample texts and out of date contact details.  Hard copies are destroyed as confidential waste.  I will remove data on request and provide a form to make this easy.
